Nothing collected. Nothing sold.
ByteLoader is built to do one job without collecting anything. This page lists exactly where data goes, so you can decide for yourself. Last updated 10 October 2026, for ByteLoader 0.1.0.
What the app collects
Nothing. ByteLoader has no analytics, no crash reporting, no update checks, no ads and no third-party SDKs. There is no ByteKnot server involved at any point.
Where the app sends data
The complete list of network destinations:
- Apple's sign-in and developer servers. Your Apple ID password is sent only to Apple, using Apple's SRP login, so it is never transmitted in plain text. During an install, Apple receives the bundle IDs of the app, your device's UDID and name, and a certificate signing request. That is what Xcode sends too.
- An anisette server. Apple requires device-identity headers called anisette with every login. ByteLoader fetches them from ani.stikstore.app, a public server run by the StikStore project. It never sees your password, your Apple ID or your IPA files.
Your IPA files never leave your PC. Signing happens locally.
What the app stores on your PC
All of it lives in Windows Credential Manager, the same place Windows keeps your own saved passwords:
- Your Apple ID email address.
- Your Apple ID password, only if you tick Remember my password. Leave it unticked and it is not stored.
- The machine identity Apple issues for this PC.
- The development certificate and its private key, so apps can be re-signed later.
ByteLoader also keeps a local list of the apps it installed and their expiry dates.
This website
- We may use PostHog to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, device type and approximate region. It is used to improve the site, not to build a profile of you.
- We do not run third-party advertising or sell visitor data.
- If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as needed to help you.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the apps you sign and install, and for complying with Apple's terms for your Apple ID. ByteLoader is a signing and install tool. It does not provide apps or certificates.
